Trump Warns U.S. Could Take Direct Action Over Iran Nuclear Materials

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One after his visit to China, Trump suggested that Washington remained prepared to intervene if negotiations do not produce results. “Either we’ll go in or we’ll get it,” Trump said, while expressing hope that a peaceful resolution could still be achieved. 2027: APC Screens Out 105 Kwara Assembly Aspirants

The results of the screening exercise, which were pasted at the party secretariat in Ilorin on Thursday, showed that several serving lawmakers seeking second and third terms were among those declared “uncleared” by the screening committee. According to the list titled “All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Nomination of Candidates for the 2027 General Election,” only 53 of the 158 aspirants who purchased nomination forms were cleared to continue in the race. In Kwara Central Senatorial District, most incumbent lawmakers seeking re-election scaled through the exercise, except the member representing Alanamu/Ajikobi Constituency, Hon. Speaking during a meeting with ADC lawmakers in Abuja on Wednesday, Mark acknowledged that the departure of the two politicians would have an impact on the party. However, he said the development would also motivate members to work harder ahead of the 2027 general elections. He assured Nigerians that the ADC would continue to present credible candidates capable of competing strongly in future elections. Akpabio was reported to have made the remarks during the burial of a former administrative secretary of the defunct OMPADEC, Sir Albert Nnamani, in Ikem, Enugu State. The concerns were raised during a meeting in Abuja between Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and South Africa’s Acting High Commissioner, Lesoli Machele. The meeting was held with the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Amb. Dunoma Ahmed.
